I am back with another card for this
years month of holiday cards with Beccy from Beccy’s Place, today the challenge
is to make a card using the letter ‘S’ I had planned on making a card using one
of my found coloured images (Santa), but then digging through my supplies I
rediscovered my swaggie die, so today my card has Silhouette, sunset, Swaggie
(swagman), Santa, sleigh, stars, Southern Cross and Sentiment.
I made a distress oxide ink
background spraying lightly with water, then inked the bottom with Black soot
ink, die cut the swaggie and Santa using some double sided adhesive sheet,
added them to the card, heat embossed the sentiment from Kaisercraft in white
embossing powder and added the panel to a card covered in Kaisercraft Basecoat
corrugated iron. I would have loved using a die I saw recently which is Aussie
made with Kanagroos pulling Santa’s sleigh, but will have to save it for next
year… when I added the southern cross to the card with the star stickers I
realised one needed to be slightly smaller, I had no more tiny gold stars and
used my hand held star punch to make a tiny star from the middle sized one you
can see, fiddly but it did the job…
Here is my card:-
