Riding along on on my push bike

Hello again,

Well as promised I am showing you some of the cards I made for birthdays, all male for my neighbours sons, Uncle and Dad who all have had their birthdays in the last few weeks. I had to hold off as my recent participation in the Christmas in July celebration with Bugaboo sent my internet usage to the peak of my data limits, which have reset over the weekend…

This card was made for the youngest of my neighbours two sons, who turned 15 this year, he is currently doing his Duke of Edinburgh Award spending time doing various outdoor adventures with his mates, he also has been testing out his new camping gear in their backyard, we have had -4c and yes he was sleeping outside in it BRRRR! As part of his outdoor work with the award he has been riding and getting ready to ride in a Charity race with one of his uncles which gave me easier inspiration to work with for his birthday card. I came across this card on Pinterest from Patterned Paper Crafts and saved it for later as you do, checking it out and making my own copy, which is likely to be replicated for my Uncle next year as he spends a huge amount of time on his bike also for charity rides, sometimes the rides are from Brisbane to Sydney a distance of 955km or up to 1000km (593-621miles) dependant upon the route taken and done in around 180km sections.

I elongated the pierced fishtail flags by choosing a point to cut them off where it would be hidden behind the panel and then lining the second piece back up

Here is my card:-

CiJ Day 5 Who needs Snow?

Hello again,

I'm back again with another card for this weeks 7th Annual Christmas in July Challenge with the lovely ladies at Catch the Bug and Bugaboo Stamps, todays Challenge is an image challenge with the request to make it funny which you can see below.

I took my inspiration from the scene and created my own scene for Trop Santa Scuba (not yet in the new store) and also used the colours on Santa's umbrella to colour him in. I added a typed sentiment to my card suitable for those of us who celebrate Christmas in Summer time (ho ho ho, who needs snow) Although since I have to be cold right now, snow would be nice. Not too sure why the photo seems a little foggy, it is much brighter in life, I may try another photo later, maybe just the winter sun.

Here is my card:- (edit- new photo a bit better than the other)

What I used:-
White 5x7" (12.6x17.8cm) card blank

CiJ Day 3- Wrap it Up

Hello Again,

I'm Still playing catch up with the current week long Christmas in July Event over at Bugaboo Stamps Blog Catch the Bug today brings me to the Wrap it Up challenge to make a gift tag, wrap, gift bag etc. I have made a wine bottle tag featuring Ruby Xmas Drink which hasn't yet been added to Jodie's new store. I made a template for making Wine Bottle tags out of a cereal box and wrote all the measurements on it to save time, but then had a very large mistake which actually caused me to toss the whole thing out before I cut Ruby out and used her for the one you see below.... lets just say that I know what crushing bling in my Cuttlebug sounds like and what it does to the card and paper....

Here is my wine bottle tag:-

What I used:-
Amethyst AC Card
Sugar and Spice 'Jewel' Paper (Spotlight for those in Aus)
MFT Merry Christmas Die
MFT BB Penguins in Paradise Cheers stamp
Bling from stash
White card stock
Faber Castell Pencils
Ruby Xmas Drink from Bugaboo Stamps
Scrap paper with snow flakes on it

Bugaboo Christmas in July

Hello again,

Long time no see, I managed to pick up a lurgy last time I was in Sydney and haven't really gotten on to the computer as much as normal, but I have made a few cards between my last post in June and the newest Design Team challenge which I will add over the next few weeks as the cards are received.

Bugaboo Stamps is having their 7th Annual Christmas in July Challenge this week and as I haven't made any Christmas cards since May it has given me a nudge to join in again this year... I'm running a bit behind at the minute and will have several posts one after the other in an effort to catch up...

Challenge for Day one of Bugaboo's Christmas in July

I have used a double sided piece of paper and used both sides, something I rarely do, to make this card which will likely head for my cousin and her two young girls. With the featured image from Bugaboo called Christmas Troll

Here is my card:-

What I used:-
White 5x7" card blank (17.8x 12.6cm)
Christmas Troll Image from Bugaboo
Green card stock
Magazine Freebie paper
White cardstock for printing
CCD Cross-Stitched Semi-circle

LPoCF #62 Sasayaki Glitter

Hello again,
Today brings us to another brand new challenge over at Lil Patch of Crafty Friendsand as always the challenge is Anything Goes, so come along and join in with whatever you have been working on, we have two lovely sponsors this fortnight Bugaboo Stamps and Sasayaki Glitter offering a prize to two lucky winners.
Prize 4 images of your choice from the store

Prize 1 image of your choice from the store

Don’t forget to stop by my team mates blogs to check out some more fabulous inspirational projects.
I am using an image provided by Sasayaki Glitter called Balloon Hedgehog, I grabbed a cut piece of stripy paper and coloured my image with a focus on those colours (or so I thought ;-)) Colouring in front of the TV I made one small mistake with the colours, one balloon is far more red than pink…. I grabbed some snippets from my overflowing box and made up a simple background with blue and green cutting out the various elements and adding them on popping the main image up on foam tape. A layer of some pink card also from the snippets box and a file tab cut from a snippet of white for the sentiment.
Here is my card:-

What I used:-
White 10.5 x 14.8cm card blank
Scrap papers from my stash
MFT Stitched rectangle die
CCD File tab die
Penny Black Snippets Sentiment stamp
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Black Liquid Enamel
Faber-Castell coloured pencils
Adhesives:- PVA glue, foam tape and Double-sided tape
Stanley knife, fine tipped scissors
