just not there!

Hello again

While the power was out...I made a card which will likely find its way to a teenage boy... I have used another two of the digi stamps I have been fortunate enough to win this year, being a combo of image and sentiment designed to work together by the team over at QKR Stampede.

I printed the image twice making one a little larger than the other and turned the smaller one into a tag.

This card is an unusual size, I bought some envelopes that unfortunately didn't fit what I had already made so I have decided to create a few cards to fit the envelopes.

Here's my Card:-

and the inside, I have stuck the tag in the little pocket

What I used:-
Card:-
A4 Kraft Card to make card blank with gift pocket-9.5cm x 17.5cm
Check paper from a magazine paper pack
Deep red card
Gold glitter washi tape
Gold cord

Digi-22404 Large Santa’s List and Digi-15710-Name ain’t there, from QKR-Stamps

scrap of gold elastic

Second gift box...

Hello again...

Well I decided to play along with the lovely ladies over at Christmas Stampin' all year long and this week the challenge was 'Anything but a card' and I have combined this challenge with Sparkles Forum Christmas Challenge 'Make it Green'.

I love these little boxes and a few years ago created a set which were gifts for my colleagues and contained a few chocolates and a hand beaded Christmas Spider. I printed and rolled up the legend of the Christmas Spider to go with it.

I downloaded a box template from fun stuff to do and printed it out directly on to A4 card. The digital stamp was a part of a Papercraft Inspirations set. The stamps were from Shirley Toogood who has since passed away. She was my favourite contributor to the magazine. If anyone is interested there are still some of the penguin digi's available on her blog found here but not the one I have used here.

For the photo I have closed the box with a mini bull-dog clip but will use a coordinating ribbon when the time comes to package a present up.

What I used:
A4 Green cardboard
Doodlebug Design paper
Large scalloped oval punch
Scalloped circle die (for sides)
Embossing folder-Spellbinders m-bossabilities Trendy Folder
Gold scrap paper from stash
Green Checked Washi
Mini Star punch
Scoring board
Green Ink
Pencils
Black fine-line pen
Marrianne Creatable 'Merry Christmas'

Bird Brain Christmas

Hello again...

This week I have another new Christmas card to share with you.

I have taken my inspiration from the layout of DaenY's wonderful card below

I have altered the central shape on my card and dry embossed the oval with a snowflake folder which I raised up on foam pads, I stuck to safe Christmas colours of green and red washi tape which I stuck first on my cutting mat and used a Stanley knife to make the curved edges. I have coloured the digi image with pencils and fussy cut it, coloured the three flat backed embellishments with Sharpie's  (the red one looks better than the green ones), I finished off with the sentiment which came with the image.

What I used: White card-stock and card blank, oval dies-Poppy-crafts, Darice snowflake embossing folder, Flat backed 'plastic domes for craft' (according to the packet), Sharpies, washi tape, Cuttlebug, Digi image Birdbrain the Chick-Christmas Spirit From the Heart Stamps

Challenges I am entering this card to:
Crimbo Crackers- Make me laugh
Merry Monday- Use Red and Green

Thanks for looking in...
have a good one

Hello again...

Okay I admit I'm pretty thrilled that Random org chose my card over at Holly Jolly Christmas as the winner, I was even more excited to check my blog feed today and discover that another entry won over at Case-ing Christmas thank you ladies, you have all made my day.

Well I have made another Christmas Card which I have combined for a few challenges

Over at Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge this week the challenge is-  As it's Valentine's day, today's challenge is to use the word 'love' and/or hearts and/or the colour red on your Christmas creation

Over at Jingle Belles this week the lovely ladies are playing along with
Here We Come a-WASHI-ing
use washi or any other type of decorative tape

on to my card (sorry but the photo is not so hot, took it after night fall)

I have used Dottie Christmas Shop from one of my most favourite Digi stamp companies
the sentiment image/word art was a freebie on Create with TLC I am constantly amazed with Paulettes talents and generosity
I have used some red glitter glue on Dotties earrings and one present, some glitter tape, tiny rhinestones and red ribbon from my stash
The paper and card all came from my off cuts box.

I am entering this card in

Recent Christmas Cards

... A place to share some of the many cards I create, usually Christmas Cards and other cards for family and friends...

This design is simple, effective and easy to mass produce- I hand cut scraps of hand made paper and used basic dies and the sentiment is a piece of washi tape, I bought at a craft show backed with white paper.

One of my favourite Digi Stamp designers is Jodie, from Bugaboo Stamps www.bugaboostamps.com who is a very kind and generous lady sharing a free digi stamp every week. She will soon be celebrating Bugaboo's fifth birthday and will be having a Birthday Bash

this card was also using up some of the many scraps I have created over the years, and the embossing was one I created whilst experimenting with a new folder it is Spellbinders M-Bossabilities, the sentiment was made up of a chipboard oval from a magazine collection and Christmas is Elizabeth Craft Design die cut with my Cuttlebug.

I decided to use up some scraps, creating over 30 owls using the Cottage Cutz Festive Owl Set. Which I have had for many years http://www.scrappingcottage.com/

I created this cards sentiment  and printed it directly on to the card, I love that the owls can all have different expressions depending on the placement of their eyes.

This card has a double row of washi tape which the owls are sitting above and the sentiment is from Paulette's artfire store and her blog is here: http://createwithtlc-createwithtlc.blogspot.com.au/ Paulette is also a very kind and generous lady sharing each day a sentiment and at different times some free papers and vintage images
