LPoCF #284 All Dressed Up

 Hello again,

We are in the middle of some damp wintry days, all week we are expecting enough rain to be annoying (under 5mm), not really enough to water the garden, a brief dig yesterday and just under the surface was dry. Hoping those in the sunny parts of the world are staying safe with the number of fires and heat waves.

Today brings us to another all new Anything Goes Challenge with my team mates at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends, this fortnight we are sponsored by All Dressed Up, who kindly gave the team two images to work with. I have used My Little Elf to make another Christmas card for my stash. We are also looking for some new design team members, you can find out more here.

I managed to catch a virus, probably at my most recent follow up at the surgeon, over 2 weeks of persistent nausea, swallowing felt like a bunch of knife blades, no matter what it was, vomiting and losing my voice. I reluctantly ended up in the local hospital as my usual GP was booked out for weeks. Cross my fingers that it is completely gone by the end of the month when I go back to have my screw out of my heel.

Thank you for looking in...

LPoCF# 282 Polkadoodles- Sweet Gnomie

Hello again,

We are enjoying a few warm winters days, as long as we can find a place out of the wind. Last night was 3C but the wind chill made it feel like -8C. The washing is getting dried out on the washing line, it is just a bit cold. Someone locally managed to photograph Black Swans at the local lake, which must have migrated from somewhere else in Australia, as they are not commonly seen here.

On to my card, today brings us to an all new Anything Goes Challenge with my team mates at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends, this fortnight we are being sponsored by Polkadoodles, I have used Sweet Gnomie Bee Buzzy to make a box card. I coloured this one during my hospital stay last year.

For those following my recovery, I finally got to see the hospital physiotherapist, she has never seen my injury before (not a surprise nor has my local doctor, private physio or the local 'regional' hospital) and with my local doctors full agreement I will be continuing to see both physiotherapists as they will each provide different therapies... as a bonus while the supermarket is still a great distance of walking I remain riding my knee scooter, which gives me some giggles with the looks on other peoples faces as I ride past them... 2 ladies have stopped me in the supermarket one had also used a knee scooter and they are so much better than crutches, the other to tell me that her husband had recently broken his ankle and he wanted one... I suppose people are used to seeing people on crutches, not so used to modern alternatives as even a triage nurse at local hospital didn't know what it was called.

LPoCF #256 Polkadoodles

 Hello all,

Well, we have been having another Antarctic blast, we made it to 2C earlier in the week, if you add in the feels like temperature, it has felt more like -8C over the last few days. Today we are enjoying some winter sun, if you can stay out of the wind, it's actually quite nice.

I recently overheard some tourists who were shocked to see an Aussie parent hand their under-school age child a 'baby chino' for context they were passing by a Cafe strip, I did not feel the need to correct their belief, curiosity though what people from other countries think a 'baby chino' is?

Today brings us to another all-new challenge with my team mates over at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends, this fortnight we are sponsored by Polkadoodles who kindly gave our team two images to use, I have used an image called Jolly Santa to make two Christmas cards. Apologies for the photo quality, Winter is not the greatest time for photos.

Happy Birthday Giraffe

 Hello again,

We are expecting snow here this week, we don't often get snow but have had some the last two winters. It brings Sydneysiders out and about in hopes of seeing snow without the multiple days travel or flight to our snow fields in Alpine regions of New South Wales, Victoria or Australia Capital Territory...

Today brings us to another all-new challenge at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends and this fortnight we are sponsored by Mirtillamente Digital Stamps I have used a digital stamp called Almost Cute Giraffe to make a birthday card. I have used an ancient sketch from somewhere, I am now having trouble finding it again
