Hello again,
Autumn has well and truly arrived here in Australia, the leaves on all the trees are changing to the most beautiful bright colours and they look striking against a storm darkened sky (if only the clouds would open) we are approaching water restrictions soon due to the dam level reaching 50%. I did some illicit colouring last week and decided to make a Christmas card with one of the images I coloured.
I have again used my trick to expand the 15cm (6") paper to cover the larger card blank cutting and hiding the cut behind the centre strip...
Here is my card:-
What I used:-
White 12.6x 17.8cm card blank (5x7)
From the Heart Stamps Teddy Gift Stack digi image
Lily Bee Designs Christmas Cheer Papers
Faber-Castell pencils
Wink of Stella liberally on bears hat
Hero Arts Stamp and Cut Christmas
Clear embossing ink
Silver super fine embossing powder
Clear rhinestones
I would like to enter this card in:-

Christmas at Sweet Stampin' Anything Goes May

Colour Challenge
Hello again,
Well today brings us to the end of the month long Holiday card making challenge with Beccy from Beccy's Place, I have managed to play along with most of the days but was a little stuck with the colour challenge from day 5, custard, cocoa, moss and bisque. I was digging around looking for a particular stamp and came across an old paper pad from First edition, which I knew had the cocoa and moss colours covered, peering through I had a narrow strip of plaid paper which appeared to have three from four of the colours or as close as I was going to get anyway.
Beccy's Challenge was also to surpass last years card record which was 743 cards made during the month, I still have one more card to make for todays final challenge and the total currently stands at 791 with several more hours to go.... and I still have the final day to type up.... 800 or more here we come!
Here is my card:-
What I used:-
White 12.6x17.8cm card blank
First Edition paper pad Christmas Village
FTHS Birdbrain 'Deck the Halls' digi (store closed)
MFT gift tag greetings
Colorbox 'cocoa' inkpad
Clear embossing powder
Faber-Castell and Derwent pencils
Stitched square die
Circle punch
Adhesives:- Double sided tape, foam dot

Easter
Hello
again,
Well hope
you all had a lovely Easter and a breakaway from the norm. Apologies for being
AWOL for much of the month, I’ve had a new massage therapist added to my
treatment many months after being told I’m carrying 30+kilos of fluid, who has
added new tasks to my days and weeks that I have had to adjust to, who knew
that a massage could make you so tired for a few days afterwards, or perhaps
that is just me.
Thank you
to all the lovely ladies who Congratulated me on joining the Design Team over at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends blog, it was also my first scheduled blog post, never having
figured out how to do so without the kind help from Denise.
Enough
about all that and on to my card for my niece who lives in a different state
and we can’t send Chocolate treats to her as they melt (she got gift vouchers
for of all places Bunnings Hardware) and gift bag for Easter for my Mum which
was filled with some good old Aussie Cadbury Chocolate eggs, I felt I was
cheating a little with the gift bag very little colouring at all.

A slice of Summer
Hello again,
Today I am sharing a card made for my niece’s birthday later
this month, it is already on its way in a parcel full of Lego as requested and
not 'girls' Lego either! She spent a lot of time playing with her Dad’s old Lego when
she last visited us in NSW and took it all home with her, she told us she
didn’t have any and she really really liked it!
Some other things she really really
likes is pineapples and watermelons so much so that at her Mum’s she has all
pineapple “stuff” and at her Dad’s when they decorated her new bedroom she got
all watermelon “stuff like pillows, a mat and even a doona cover!”
That made things easy to decide she got Lego and her
birthday card from my parents was to be a watermelon card, I made my card
earlier this year using one of From the Heart Stamps Stamp of the Month images,
Faith (From the Heart Stamps owner and designer) is very unwell at the moment
and is having treatment for a brain tumour, Please keep Faith in your thoughts and Prayers.
Here is my card:-
What I used:-
White card blank
Dark green cardstock
Cabbage AC cardstock
Tomato AC cardstock
White cardstock
Black scrap card
Diamond Glaze on the Pips
Heart punch
Wooden ladybug (ladybird on the pack)
MFT Pierced Fishtail flags
MFT Penguins in Paradise stamp
