Hello again,
Today brings us to a new challenge over at Crafting By Designs and this week it is our ever popular Get ready for Christmas edition for October, not long to go now until it is time to get all those cards out in time for the big day. I hope that you will join us and add a card or two to your stash.
I have used some of my stamps from home to create two cards for my stash, I have used Distress Oxide inks in Peacock Feathers, picked raspberry, seedless preserves and wilted violet many splashes and squirts of water to create a A4 sheet of background paper and used a die I bought last October from Paper Roses to create the sentiment. I then used scraps of the DOI background to stamp and heat emboss a row of trees which I then fussy cut out and added them to my cards.
I liked how these two turned out and still have some of the background sitting on my desk, I also plan on making a couple in more masculine colours and maybe try the sentiment in portrait....

Friends
Hello
again,
I needed a couple of cards for my Mums friends who celebrate their birthdays in
the next couple of months, I won a stamp from Naughty or Nice Challenge (now closed) which features
four ladies and as mum and her friends get together and there is just four of
them this stamp is very fitting, I have stamped and heat embossed in black and
used some of my many scraps to make clothes for them, I decided to use water
colour pencils to colour/paint their pants and then paper pieced each of their
tops. The sentiment is from darkroom door stamps and is heat embossed in silver
before I cut it up. The inside has obligatory Happy Birthday and also one of
the included sentiments from the set which says ‘here’s to another year of
laughing at our own jokes’

Calendar 2019
Hello again,
This will be my second attempt at posting this as blogger decided to be unfriendly the other day and it froze on me, so here goes again....
This will be my second attempt at posting this as blogger decided to be unfriendly the other day and it froze on me, so here goes again....
After making several
friends calendars as small gifts one year for Christmas, it has become somewhat
of a tradition, last year I made owl calendars in various colours ensuring they
fit inside and A5 envelope, I came across a Split Coast Stampers calendar tutorial
and saved it to use this year and having already purchased the tiny calendars
followed the directions to make them free standing using C7 card blanks. Two
are upright tent fold cards and the other two horizontal and as a bonus they will still fit in the regular envelopes for posting...
I have used the same
daisy stamp from Stamp-It Australia heat embossing in silver and black,
colouring and painting in the colours with Prismacolor watercolour pencils in
purples, pinks, yellow and red. When I added the calendar tabs to the two
landscape cards both tore the calendar off at December which was a pain quickly
rectified by stapling the rest back on.
Here are the
calendars:- Apologies, I couldn't get them to fit in two by two so one pic of each with an extra showing the prop inside the card.
What I used:-
White C7 card blanks
