All that glitters...

Hello again...

Well this week over at Case-ing Christmas Ellen made the most beautiful heat embossed Christmas tree card for us to case and you can see it here.

I don't really do much in the way of stamping and definitely no heat embossing although it always looks great, so I have opted to take my inspiration from the tree. I have raided my scraps again and I have used plain, patterned and a glitter paper to create my tree.

What I used:-
White 10.5 x 14.9 cm card blank
Scraps of paper and card
8" square paper from First Edition 'Christmas Village'
Felt holly leaves
Button and ribbon from stash
Red cotton thread
Cocoa Colorbox ink pad
Wplus9 tiny tags die
Marianne Creatables angel with star die
Printed sentiment
Kraft card
Adhesives Double-sided tape & paper, P.V.A. glue

just not there!

Hello again

While the power was out...I made a card which will likely find its way to a teenage boy... I have used another two of the digi stamps I have been fortunate enough to win this year, being a combo of image and sentiment designed to work together by the team over at QKR Stampede.

I printed the image twice making one a little larger than the other and turned the smaller one into a tag.

This card is an unusual size, I bought some envelopes that unfortunately didn't fit what I had already made so I have decided to create a few cards to fit the envelopes.

Here's my Card:-

and the inside, I have stuck the tag in the little pocket

What I used:-
Card:-
A4 Kraft Card to make card blank with gift pocket-9.5cm x 17.5cm
Check paper from a magazine paper pack
Deep red card
Gold glitter washi tape
Gold cord
Faber-Castell and Derwent Pencils
Digi-22404 Large Santa’s List and Digi-15710-Name ain’t there, from QKR-Stamps
Paper Smooches Christmas Greeting Die for sentiment inside

Tag:-
left over bits of card
scrap of gold elastic
white gel ink pen
Paper smooches die Christmas greeting

Angels we have heard on high...

Hello again...

Well, what do you do when the local electricity company decides to replace the power poles in your area and there is no power for a day in winter? ... well I got some bits and pieces printed out and ready, then lit the fireplace and spent a day warm beside the fire. I now have a bag full of sentiments which I die cut, a coloured page or two of images and three more cards to add to the stash of Christmas cards I have already made this year... and guess what they're doing it again in a fortnight...

Okay so I am joining in with the ladies at Case-ing Christmas again and this week Rocky made a fabulous card featuring a lovely die cut Snowman, cool blue papers, musical script, lovely ribbon and stitching which you can see here at the current challenge

I have gone with featuring a die cut image and have used a gorgeous angel die from Marianne Creatables which you can make a 3D paper angel that will stand on its own. I have trimmed her down to fit my card and gone traditional with the colour palette.

Here is my card:-

What I used:-
10.5cm x 14.9cm white card blank
Glitter paper
White Pearlescent Glitz Spritz
Cream card
Marianne Creatable angel with star die
Embossing Stylus
Bo Bunny Silver and Gold Collection paper

Run, Run as fast as you can...

Hello again...

Well as promised I have again made a card for this weeks Case-ing Christmas Challenge, we are already up to week 22 and  I plan on continuing for the whole year...

This week it was Mynn who provided the initial card for inspiration and was joined by a combined group of ladies from both teams. You can see Mynn's gorgeous card here at Case-ing Christmas

I was inspired by the gingerbread man on Mynn's card and used an old template from the Papercraft Inspirations Magazine team, which was an bonus extra on their website several years ago. I increased the gingerbread man in size before hand cutting him out.

I have made my card a square one this week to play along with the final Completely Christmas Challenge...

I also decided to play with my Sew Easy tool for the first time, so go easy on the wonky stitching ;-)

Here's my Card:-

Template from Papercraft Inspirations
Scrap of kraft card
Scrap of green card
White Gel ink pen

MFT Pierced Fishtail
Sentiment from TLC Creations
