Birthday for a builder

Hello again,

Well, my trip to the city specialist (even had to cross the Harbour Bridge) has yet to have an outcome, I need to keep seeing my physio('s) regularly for treatment, he told me to keep seeing Liz- which is fine but both my physios are called Liz and they are friends, so he hadn't talked to the Liz I saw last week and I hope he has talked to the other Liz I see this week... (did I just confuse you all)…

Today I am sharing another card I made for my friends card order which I finally sent to her in Northern NSW, this is a card I have 'Cased' from Maxine of Kiwime's Kreations as my friends father-in-law was a builder and he is now into his nineties so any cards with tools are appreciated. Many Thanks for the inspiration Maxine! This would also be a great Fathers day card.... I had to die cut the drill from the opposite side to make it fit.

Here is my take on Maxine's card:-

What I used:-

White 10.5x14.8cm card blank

CCD Tools dies

Washi tape

Scraps, white, black and gold

MFT stitched rectangle die

Wood grain paper

MFT Happy Birthday sentiment stamp (Essential Sentiments)

Memento Tuxedo Black ink

Adhesives:- Double sided tape, PVA glue

Thank you for stopping by...
Have a wonderful week...

P.S. Many thanks to all my kind blogging friends and visitors who take the time to leave me a comment, I truly appreciate them all!

CBD Flowers

Hello again,

Today brings us to a new Challenge for Crafting by Designs, we would love you to join in our challenge and this week the challenge is Flowers or Floral, we have one fabulous sponsors this week Beccy’s Place will be giving the lucky winner a $10 gift certificate for their store.

PRIZE $10 gift certificate

I have used a stamp from the Beccy’s Place Waratah set, being an Aussie I love to find Australian stamps and images. The Waratah is the floral emblem of NSW, the state that I live in, according to local Aboriginals the Waratah was a flower seen from afar, which the warriors of the tribe used to remove from the plant and soak the flower head in water and drink the resulting sweet drink for an energy boost. We have them growing in both the front and back garden. I am also sharing two pictures from our garden, the first one has begun opening and the second is still closed up.

Here is my card:-

I coloured the image using Derwent and Faber-Castell pencils, die cut with an MFT stitched oval die teamed with some papers from the Kaisercraft paper pad called Open Road which features Australian flora, fauna and iconic images of our country. I have used the coloured border (which looks like bark of a gum tree) from the spine to stamp my sentiment onto to make a card for my Mum for Mother’s Day.

This challenge is open until March 26th, you can add your project by using the Linky tool over at Crafting by Designs. Please be sure to link your project back to us.

What I used:-
White 12.4x17.5cm card blank
Faber-Castell and Derwent coloured pencils
Gold embossing powder
Clear embossing ink
Kaisercraft Open Road papers
Kaisercraft Mini Clear Stamps ‘Occasions’

Adhesives: Double-sided tape

Hello again,

Today brings us to a new Challenge for Crafting by Designs, we would love you to join in our challenge and this week the challenge is For The Boys, we have one fabulous sponsors this week Crafty Sentiments Designs will be giving the lucky winner their choice of 3 Digi stamps from their store.

PRIZE 3 Digi Stamps

I have used a stamp set freebie from my magazine subscription to make a birthday card, the set includes a few flowers and pretty vase and a mason style jar which I have used here. I have stamped and heat embossed the mason jar, fish and sentiment in silver, gold and black. Using up some scrap distress oxide background pieces to make the jar and the fish, I die cut the circle background with some adhesive sheet attached to a scrap of black card, cutting it in two to make it fit across the width of the card front. Not that you can see them but I also heat embossed some extra fish in clear on the card front, before doodling in the border.

Butterfly Birthday

Hello again,

I'm back to share another of the cards I finally sent to one of my friends who requested four female birthday cards, it was completely up to me what I put on the cards and this is one of them which I will admit to case-ing from my Pinterest boards, here is the link to the card I found addINKtive designs (Bronwyn), my slightly different version below... I was still trying to make the most of my large quantity of scrap paper and card, the pile of which never seems to shrink. As with most of the other cards I have tried to keep them as flat as possible to cut down on postage, rather than adding bling to this card I used single hole punched silver circles (they are metallic not that you can tell in the pic)

Here is my card:-

What I used:-
White 10.5x14.8cm card blank
CCD half doily die
CCD butterfly die
Scrap Kaisercraft paper (Blue Bay)
Scrap white, silver and glittered green paper
Hole punch (tiny/flat embellishments)
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Darkroom Door Sentiment (Full Bloom Vol.1)

P.S. Many thanks to all my blogging friends and visitors who take the time to comment on my cards and creations, I appreciate them all!

P.P.S. Apologies for not being around, too many medical appointments and then the usual high pain days to keep up with all my blogging friends, fingers crossed the rehab doctor I see this week will have some answers, nine months with dominant hand in a sling is not much fun.

Butterfly Thank you

Hello again,

As a part of the set of cards I was requested to make for a friend she wanted four Thank you cards included this is the first of them I am sharing a super quick, clean and simple design. This uses some pretty pearlised design paper from the paper mill, scraps of salmon and black cardstock, looking at it now I think I should have made the butterflies more centred in the main panel... I have made one of these before using different colours as a quick thank you card for the ladies at a cemetery where we had been doing some family history research.

Here is my card:

What I used:-

White 10.5x14.8cm card blank

Salmon and black scrap cardstock

Pearlised butterfly design paper

Lawn Fawn sentiment die

Adhesives:- Double sided tape, adhesive sheet
