Wisemen

Hello again,

Another Christmas card two in one week! I have been admiring several silhouette Christmas cards on Pinterest lately and decided to make one using on of the Eureka images I won last year. I am trying to use some of the papers I was given called ‘Christmas Village’ from First Edition, I printed the image and one of the sentiments from Paulette over at TLC Creations who offers both free and bought word art for many occasions directly onto a piece of cardstock from the pad.

The paper from the First Edition pack has got the same faint pattern on the blue and yellow/gold coloured paper which is only slightly visible on the blue

Here is my card:-

What I used:-
White 5” x 7” card blank
Black cardstock
First Edition Paper ‘Christmas Village’
Scrap of black, gold paper and scrap from paper pad
Gold paper and mirri card
Eureka Digi stamp ‘Three Wise Men’
TLC Creations Christmas Wordart
MFT Framing Flourishes

Memory Box Star of Wonder

Thank you for looking in...
Have a fantastic weekend...

Reindog

Hello again,
Today I am sharing the second card made with my Memory box Santa Paws Stamp and Die set, I can see this set being useful for other cards too, not just for Christmas. My second card also features the same cute little cavalier King Charles Spaniel and I had intended to include one of the other little dogs but neither of them fit the space available, so I'll just have to make another larger card ;-)

Here is my card:-

What I used:-
White 10.5 x 14.8cm card blank
White cardstock
Memory box Santa Paws stamp and die set
Memory box Grand Merry Christmas Die
Scraps of Christmas papers Kaisercraft
Memento Tuxedo Black inkpad
Faber-Castell, Derwent and Lyra Pencils
Adhesives:- Double sided tape, foam dots

I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed a change in the way Blogger/google+ are dealing with comments, they used to send them to email address and have notifications when you sign in, now nothing is coming through.... I've not changed any settings although I have contemplated changing to the older style comment box... any one got any thoughts or ideas? Also I've been told I am a no reply blogger and followed a tutorial to change this but maybe since my blog was started more recently the settings that require changing are not there...

Santa Paws #1

Hello again,

I think this week I will have the time to post a card a day, while I’m not busy and can control the pain. I have already made three Christmas cards this week, two using a stamp and die set I bought in the post-Christmas sales last year.

I have several friends with Furry companions and bought Memory Box set called Santa Paws to create cards with for them. I raided the stash of scraps and snippets for this card and busted out a new die from My Favorite Things (it feels so strange not using ‘u’ in favourite…) Stitched mini scalloped oval. I cut the card blank down and placed the top of the oval above the fold of the card for something a little bit different.

Here is my card:-

What I used:-
White 14.8 x 10.5cm card blank cut to 8cm wide
White cardstock
Memory Box Santa Paws stamp and die set
MFT snow drifts die
MFT Stitched mini scalloped oval
Pebbles Home for Christmas paper pad
Memento tuxedo black inkpad
Derwent and Faber-Castell pencils
Adhesives:- Double sided tape and Foam dots

Teen Birthday

Hello again,

Well, well, well two posts in two days! Today I am sharing a card made for my teenage neighbour, I've not seen him much recently and was surprised to see him out dressed somewhat like a young 'Hugh Hefner' bare feet, shorts and a bathrobe... not very long ago he would have been wearing a beanie, hoodie and jeans...

Here is my card:-

The green background paper is from the same sheet from a card I made earlier in the year for another teen which you can see here

What I used:-
White card stock folded to make card blank 11.5cm x 17.5cm
Black cardstock
White cardstock
Bugaboo image ‘Video game guy’
Faber-Castell and Derwent pencils
X-Press-it Glitter Deco Tape
Merci and generic paper pack (Big W and Kmart)
Nesting Rectangle dies (lifestyle crafts)
Stanley Knife, Cutting mat, steel ruler, scissors

Adhesives:- Double-sided tape, xyron sticker maker

Academia Birthday?

Hello again,

Well after a tiring trip to the city last week I finally have had time to write up one of my recent snippet’s makes, I had a request for a card for a friend of the families husband, who was obviously around when I received a rushed phone call, all I got for a suggestion was he’s into academia. Not having any idea what to do with this I opted for a shelf full of books, including one with tiny little houses at the end (he was a house builder).

This was a very good card to make using craft card, two patterned papers and the patterned edges of a 12” paper pad… you know that tiny edge often with lovely patterns that normal people toss away!

Here is my card:-

What I used:-
Kraft card blank 10.5cm x 14.8cm
Discount store patterned papers
Spine of Amy Tangerine Patterned paper pad (ready, Set, Go)
Scrap of ribbon
Brass coloured brad
Black button and some thread
Kaisercraft Rub-on Sentiment
Fine Line Black pen
Black and silver scrap papers
Memory Box Parker lowercase alphabet die

Flowers and Whales

Hello again,

I have been busy off-line and made several cards during the last week or so including two cards for a friend, not getting an overly complex request, anything at all... I made two cards very similar using some tissue paper and my scalloped circle dies... the more you play with it the more fluffy the flowers become... better posted minus an envelope so the flowers don't get squashed

As a bonus I made these cards entirely off the card blank and even the back of the brad is hidden... but I wished I had added some veins to the leaves...

Here are my cards:-

What I used:-
White and cream card blanks (10.5 x 14.8cm)
Silver and gold paper scraps
First Edition Rose Garden
1 sheet of pink and yellow tissue paper
Scraps of green cardstock
Papercraft Inspirations leaf pattern
Butterfly Brads
Paper lace
Lace
Adhesive Pearls
Buttons (some thread)
Cocoa Colorbox inkpad
Pink inkpad
Stamps from magazine gifts
Poppycrafts nesting label die
MFT Flourish die
Adhesives:- Double sided tape, PVA glue
