LPoCF December Polkadoodles

Hi again,

Well the fires in NSW continue to burn, leaving the city choking with smoke- when I have had to be in the city I have had my asthma medication prior to leaving home and again before departing the train. The nearest fire to me is expected to burn for another month or more, but those of us who have lived in the area the longest know that it needs the burn off to protect us from more dangerous fires in the future. The biggest fire has grown by over 200,000 hectares in the last week and currently sits at 369,279 hectares, if you add all the smaller fires that have joined on to the main fire front the area burnt totals 575,782 hectares...

Enough about fires, onto my post. Today brings us to the last challenge of this year with my lovely team mates over at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends, this fortnight we are sponsored by Polkadoodles who are offering a £6.75 voucher for use in their store to the lucky winner.

Prize £6.75 voucher

I have made two cards using the image Cute Penguins from our Sponsor Polkadoodles I have flipped one image to make the penguins face each other and used a large sentiment from MFT Hand Lettered Christmas above them as they appear to be looking upwards.

What I used:-
2x 12.6x.17.8cm card blanks (5x7")
Polkadoodles Cute Penguins Digi stamps
Derwent Watercolour and regular pencils
Fiskars Corner Rounder punch
Red cardstock
Blue Polka dot paper
Versa Color 'Cyan' ink pad
Clear and Metallic Silver embossing powder
Silver glitter paper
Star hole punch
MFT Hand-Lettered Christmas Clear stamps

I would like to enter these cards in:-
Red card-
Digi Choosday Crafting Challenge week 50 Anything goes
12 Months of Christmas Link-up Anything goes optional Layer it up
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge #468 Anything goes optional use the word Merry

Blue Card-
Christmas with the Cuties- Show us your Santa Hats
Crafts Galore Encore December Anything goes
Polkadoodles Craft Challenge week 50 Anything goes
Merry Little Christmas Challenge #17 December Anything goes
The Happy Craft Challenge Anything goes- optional ribbon, Christmas flowers or mood board

I managed to get almost all the cards in the post last week, unfortunately the cards for England and Scotland relatives needed to be placed inside a post bag and I didn't have the time or inclination to stand in line at the Post Office to get them, so we are off in the morning to get the last few out.

Thank you for looking in...
Have a wonderful week...
Megan

P.S. Many thanks to all my lovely blogging friends and visitors who take the time to stop by and leave me a comment, I truly appreciate them all!

Two really super cards Megan, such cute images and a gorgeous design, and really great colouring. Love them.

My Daughter lives in Randwick and works at Bank West in the city and up to press she has not said anything about fumes or being in any trouble with the fires.

It really is dreadful and you must be really worried, I just hope that they can control it.

Gorgeous cards Megan, and great use of that sweet image!!
We are currently having yet another thunderstorm... it does clear our skies from the smoke haze though. I so feel for you with all that smoke, and I cannot image the scale of the fires.
Blessings
Maxine
