Hello again,
Today marks the Winter Solstice, my nearest big town had a crazy event yesterday called 'Winter Magic' the main street gets closed off to all (but emergency services) and up to 50,000 people crowd in to see local buskers, actors, musicians, and artists take over every store window, a street parade and creative stalls. Locals and visitors are encouraged to dress-up, children dress-up as favourite characters, adults dress up however they like movie characters, steam punk, fairies, butterflies, old fashions, I once saw a group dressed to represent 1920's wandering the street together, quite a commitment on the shortest day of the year, ladies in sleeveless dresses. This year the oldest hotel held a gala ball with the theme of Medieval.
Now also marks the start of 'Yulefest' season, where many of the large hotels and restaurants in the area play host to traditional northern hemisphere Christmas with all the trimmings, if we are lucky we sometimes get a scattering of snow.
On to my card, today sees the beginning of another all-new challenge with my team mates at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends, this fortnight we are sponsored by Pattie's Creations who kindly allowed us to choose an image each. I have used a set called 'Holiday Cupcakes' to make my card.
We are still on the lookout for some new Design Team members, if you would like to join our team Kelly has more information here.

Thank you for joining in with the Crafts Galore Encore June Challenge “Anything Goes” x
A wonderful festive card Megan - you must have been inspired by the mid-winter magic and the Yulefest celebrations!
We are currently in a string of frosty mornings - -1oC this morning, and it will be lower again tomorrow and Friday...
Blessings
Maxine
