Ripper Chrissy

 Hello  again,

I keep diverting from that scrap paper pad, I am down to four card fronts to finish off, I have used another of Beccy's Place Sandman images for another Aussie card, adding some clouds in the sky and stamping on another sentiment from Beccy's Place Aussie Christmas clear stamps.

Bucko and Champs Ripper Christmas

In Australia we have a Christmas Album from two men called Bucko and Champs, one being called Colin Buchanan and the other called Greg Champion, they have created Aussie Versions of traditional carols, when I was a preschool teacher, we always taught the children part of Aussie Jingle Bells from the same pair, Colin was also a fixture on Playschool... most of their songs are light hearted and fun, others reflect on loneliness and the 1974 cyclone 'Tracy' that struck Darwin in the small hours of Christmas Day killing 66 and decimating 80% of the city.

Here is my card: -

What I used: -
White 12.6x17.8cm card blank
Kaisercraft 'sandy toes' papers
Faber Castell and Derwent coloured pencils
Joy Crafts cloud dies

It's always nice to see a bit of Aussie culture in Christmas projects Megan, and yours fits the bill perfectly! I love the big blue sky and the sandy beach you created for your sandman, who looks very festive with his green and red board.
My kids all learned the Aussie themed carols when they were in school too Megan, it was always fun to watch them at the Christmas concerts each year.
Cheers,
Beccy

A super card, perfectly themed for an Aussie Christmas. Great papers and a fabulous sandman/woman image.
Thank you for joining in with the Crafts Galore Encore November Challenge “Anything Goes”. Good luck! x
