LPoCF #192 Sheepski Designs Coffee and Cake

 Hello again,

Well, we have now had the wettest year on record in New South Wales, the last time it was this wet was the year my Mum was born... our current local rainfall for this year is 2419.3mm or about 95.2inches, we are currently sitting just under twice the average rainfall for area.

This fortnight brings us to another all new Anything Goes Challenge with my team mates over at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends, we are sponsored by SheepSki Designs and the Design Team chose four different images to work with. I chose one called Coffee and Cake and whilst I coloured and paper pieced the combined image I managed to smudge my finger through glue and decided that I would use the cake which came as a stand-alone image.

What a gorgeous cupcake! I love the pretty coloursand patterns on your card! All dry now where we live - feeling very sorry for the people in flood affected areas!

Love this floral card - The cupcake image is amazing and from what I can see looks like it is blossom flowers it is decorated with. Love the colouring of the image. I love cherry blossom trees so this is an image right up my street. Thank you for sharing and for taking part in the polkadoodles digi choosday challenge. Happy Crafting! Mel x

Hi Megan, thanks so VERY much for popping over especially as you’re not well and leaving a nice comment.
I too am not well again with yet another flare up, it does seem a recurring theme at the mo. If it weren’t for the LORD I couldn’t keep going.
When the Bureau of meteorology write wettest or hottest “on record” they mean since 1910, as they wiped quite literally all temperatures and record prior to 1910 saying they were “inaccurate”. I found a number of articles, including actual paper clippings of the time, as it came to my attention when we were in “our worst ever drought”. That 2017/18 drought did not kill the number or reach protracted temperatures that the 1896 drought did, deaths over 435 people, children included in Aust then small population died of heatstroke according to newspaper cuttings I’ve read. It was severe and todays wet is too… as Dorothea McKellar put it we live in a land of droughts and flooding rains.
https://joannenova.com.au/2012/11/extreme-heat-in-1896-panic-stricken-people-fled-the-outback-on-special-trains-as-hundreds-die/ It’s such a shame that “wiser” heads deem that history needs rewriting or erasing in case of pre 1910 numbers deleted.
Well what a very pretty card, Megan, well done!

I really love it, yet weirdly I buy designer paper and rarely use it, which is quite strange. Need to use more often but think I like being inky.
Praying you pick up soon and so do I!๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™❤️❤️๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Thanks for Sharing, God bless and keep you safe, and all those you love, hugs Shaz in Oz.x
