LPoCF #158 Lemon Shortbread

 Hello again,

Many Thanks for the Get well wishes for Mum after her stroke. She only spent 8 days in hospital and only 2 days in the rehab unit as she was considered too well to stay. She is still very tired, has yet to return to her favourite activity the local Family History Group. She is off most foods including Chocolate! The local doctor says that that can be one of the gauges on how she's feeling, when she's feeling better she'll want to eat chocolate....

This week brings us to an all new Anything Goes Challenge with my lovely team mates over at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends, this fortnight we are sponsored by Lemon Shortbread who kindly gave the design team two images to work with. I have used the image called Buttons Mad Buttoner to make a Mothers day card for my Mum... (on 9th May) the image comes as two one with the hat covered in buttons, I have used the one without buttons all over...

Here is my card:-

What I used:-

White 12.6x17.8cm (5x7) card blank
Lemon Shortbread image Button Mad Buttoner
pale blue cardstock
Derwent and Faber-Castell coloured pencils
Blue and black gel ink pens
Kaisercraft Paper Pad 'Wandering Ivy'
Sentiment stamp magazine freebie
Patchwork and stitched stamp magazine freebie
Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad
Buttons and bow from stash
Label die
Adhesives: Xyron Sticker maker, double sided tape, low temp glue gun, foam squares

I would like to enter this card in:

Thank you for looking in...
Have a wonderful week...
Megan

Sorry to hear of your Mum's stroke - brain 'injuries' like that seem to take forever to heal - it's a slow process. I know it now takes me days to fully recover from a migraine... so not impressed, but that's just what it is now I am older. (sorry I missed your post, but we have had an (extended) family bereavement which meant time out of town...
Loving you gorgeous card Megan - that is really pretty, and I love the hexagons for your background, especially with the faux stitching
Stay safe
Blessings
Maxine

Megan, closed my comment too early. Hope your Mum is improving and I know you didn't use a punch for that stitched shape but it reminds me I have a punch I could do the same thing with. Good luck again. Gail
