LPoCF- Black and White and Read all over

Hello again,

Today brings us to another new Anything Goes challenge with the lovely ladies over at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends, we would love to see what you have been creating, all crafts welcome. This fortnight Lemon Shortbread are sponsoring us and are offering the lucky winner 3 images from their store.
Prize 3 Images

I have made two projects with an image from Lemon Shortbread called Girl with book, the card will be headed to my niece for her birthday perhaps with a gift voucher for a bookstore, the second is in my bullet journal, where I have been recording the books I have been reading on my e-reader.

Here are my two projects: I mirrored the image for the card

I read the quote somewhere online and trusted that the person had correctly identified the owner, unfortunately it had been attributed to Mason Codey, a further search discovered that the quote actually came from Mason Cooley. A bit late now, it is written and too hard to alter...

What I used:-
White 12.6x17.8cm card blank (5x7)
A5 sketch book
Lemon Shortbread Girl with book digi
Faber-Castell pencils
Gel ink pens
Kaisercraft ‘Black & White Timeless paper pad
Scraps light red, navy and black cardstock
Pebbles basics paper pad
Red enamel dots
Elizabeth Crafts Happy birthday die
Magazine freebie alphabet die
Scrap greens/yellow distress oxide background
Quote by Mason Cooley
Washi tape, border
Single hole punch (used to punch a line of holes inside her arm to make it easier to cut out)
Adhesives:- Double sided tape, PVA glue, glue stick, glue pen

I would like to enter these creations in:-

Thank you

Hello again,

I'm still working my way through some of the many cards I have now posted to my friend in Northern NSW, Today I am sharing two of the 4 thank you cards. As I had to post them to her and I didn’t want to have to include other items to protect the cards in the post when she sends them, I have gone for flat, no fuss cards, adding touches of liquid pearls or enamel to add interest without adding the flat backed pearls or gems which play havoc with the postal services machines chewing the envelopes up.

The first card uses a sheet of patterned paper from a magazine freebie pack, trimmed down to fit the card, a Darkroom Door eclectic butterfly stamped in London fog ink and fussy cut, sentiment stamped into the smaller section and some liquid pearls added.

Here are my cards:-

I have opted for using some design paper from Kaisercraft a Hot off the Press stamp and die set ‘Feathers’ I cut the feathers out of scraps of beige, brown and white cardstock, heat embossing and fussy cutting the brown feather. A simple sentiment from MFT Essential Sentiments (only used the portion which fitted inside the tiny tag diecut, mirri card was punched with a single hole punch to add flat embellishments a tiny piece of metallic gold embroidery thread used on the tag

What I used:-
White 10.5x14.8cm card blanks
Design paper from magazine freebie
Darkroom door Eclectic Butterfly stamp
London Fog ink
White liquid pearl
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Darkroom Door Sentiment Full Bloom Vol.1

handmade paper
Beige, white, gold and brown card scraps
Hole punch
Hot off the Press ‘Feathers’ Stamp and die set
Clear embossing ink
White embossing powder
CCD stitched tag die
Gold embroidery thread
Kaisercraft ‘Black and White timeless’ paper

Adhesives:- Double sided tape, Glue pen, foam tape, Diamond glaze

P.S. Many thanks for the well wishes, still wearing sling when I leave home for any reason and propping arm up inside. Neither physio has heard from the specialist yet so feeling like I am in limbo. I do all my commenting using my phone rather than at the computer at the minute and I kind of like that has predictive suggestions as it makes my DT commenting easier.
P.P.S A huge thank you to all my lovely blogging friends and visitors who take the time to stop by and leave me a comment, I truly appreciate them all!
